Andrea Mitchell Biography

Andrea Mitchell is an American commentator, anchor, reporter, writer and producer working for MSNBC as an anchor for the Andrea Mitchell Reports on weekdays from noon to 1 p.m.

ET. She joined the MSNBC news team in 1978, after previously working for WUSA.

Mitchell is an alumna of New Rochelle High School, and she furthered her education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature. During her time at Penn, she held the position of news director at the student radio station, WXPN.
